Here it Goes...

This is officially my first time writing a blog. So no harsh judgments. I am a 22 year old girl from the smallest state, Rhode Island, but currently living in Los Angeles. I moved here when I was 20 years old, and have learned and grown up a lot. I am not really sure what this blog will be about, so we will see where it goes. It will not always be the same. I will hopefully have a mix of things....a million little pieces. Things that I like, from fashion to photography to interesting people or places. Things I come across that interest me....

For example,
Today, my younger sister Flora (she just moved here a week ago) and I decided to go to the Los Angeles Public Library which is in Downtown LA. We both love to read and since I have never been decided to check it out. I walked in expecting a library. This was the most amazing library I have ever been in. It was beautiful inside, and not to mention 8 floors. You walked in on the main level, and could go up or down four levels. We both got lost in the fiction section for who knows how long. Time seemed to not exist. I picked a random aisle to walk down and picked up countless books. I didn't even make it through half of the aisles. Flora noticed a sign at the top of the aisles that read "Can't find what your looking for? This is only 50% of our books, the rest are kept downstairs." I could barely make it down one aisle, and that was only 50% of their books! We went down three levels to the floor that read -3 to the astrology section. I love astrology and learning about horoscopes. They had amazing books all about astrology, but I didn't seem to find any I wanted to take out. But even some of the books they had in that section were amazingly old. That is one thing I love about the library, when you can tell a book is new with protective plastic cover, and the smell of old books. Needless to say I will be going back to this library over and over again to get lost in whatever aisle I find myself in.

I ended up taking out three books:
The Sabotage Cafe by Joshua Furst
Veronica by Mary Gaitskill
Hold Still by Nina LaCour

I will let you know how each one goes....whoever is reading this nonsense.

  1. Next time you go to the library take pictures! Would love to see. Not many people can describe their library the way you described yours :)
Have fun blogging...but be careful...it's highly addictive.
